Kookai’s Autumn Winter Launch

Kookai

Held at the grandiose Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, the event saw a list of Australia’s ‘most snapped’ step out for the event.

Themed Viva Las Vegas, Kookai’s hot new season celebrated the grungy but simultaneously glitzy city and its renowned nightlife; featuring geometric shapes, party prints and boxy silhouettes.
We had the pleasure of working alongside Gloss Creative to pull together this illustrious set. From the three large seating risers with custom skins, to the flooring, triangle set pieces with LED lights, and the back wall with integrated speakers and signage, the event made a strong and sexy statement to a star-studded VIP crowd.

Staging Rentals takes Sydney Festival 2015 to ‘Higher Ground’

SydFestOne of the biggest drawcards at this year’s Sydney Festival was the artist known as Maser’s art installation Higher Ground at Hyde Park. This photogenic, multilevel, three-dimensional M.C. Escher inspired playground came to life with the help of industry event specialists, Staging Rentals & Construction Services.
Standing over two storeys tall (20 feet), the installation used a combination of 110 components of Staging Rentals’ flagship staging product AllySTAGE, together with six custom covered shipping containers.

Built in Staging Rentals’ Alexandria warehouse and installed onsite at Hyde Park over a three-day bump-in, Maser’s Higher Ground covered approximately 400 m², offering audiences an engaging, ‘not easily forgotten’ experience.

It’s a beautiful game – we came to play! – AFC Asian Cup

Chart-topping Australian singer Havana Brown, pop band Sheppard and more than 200 junior footballers, dancers and professional performers kicked-off the biggest football tournament ever to be staged Down Under in Melbourne.

We, together with our clients Spinifex and Twenty3 Group, immensely enjoyed partaking in the action-packed 11 minute opening ceremony for the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015. Providing an 18 metre x 18 metre hexagon shaped rolling stage (to replicate the side of a soccer ball) with custom rolling treads, made for quite a sight. No doubt one of the biggest rolling stages ever built in Australia, the stage encompassed over 200 pneumatic wheels, was constructed and installed in 16 sections and required over 75 crew to roll-on and off the field in three minutes!

GIDDY UP! It isn’t called the Magic Millions for nothing

MagicMillionsFrom the Magic Millions official launch party on the Tuesday night, through to the VIP areas at the main event on the Saturday (both events designed and produced by Kat & Co and David Grant), our Brisbane and Sydney teams were incredibly busy pulling together some fantastic components for these enchanting events on the Gold Coast.

Held in a marquee on Surfers Paradise beach, celebrities, racing identities and VIPs chilled out and enjoyed a more ‘relaxed’ atmosphere at the R.M. Williams Launch Party before getting into the colourful fun of the Jeep Magic Millions Race Day. Working alongside client Kat & Co and David Grant, we constructed numerous custom made flats, bars, painted tops, and shelving units to bring this beachside, Hamptons-inspired venue to life.

On the race day, the Moet & Chandon Marquee was THE place to be! The location of choice for Rachael Finch, Mark Beretta, Kate Waterhouse, Jodi and Braith Anasta and the Queen’s granddaughter – Zara Phillips (just to name a few), our team had a wonderful time putting together this colour-popping area. Taking five days to build and set up, the marquee featured 1000 beautiful paper flower installations and was decorated in coral and magenta colours. Again working with Kat & Co and David Grant to provide multiple custom made flats, bars, painted tops, and shelving units, access to this lively marquee was this year’s hottest ticket.
