The brief:

The entire environment of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) needs to be carefully planned so that when the models step on the catwalk the fashion can take centre stage. IMG made that happen when they commissioned SRC for the 23rd year in a row to build the bespoke seating platforms, VIP platforms, front-of-house platforms, reveals, dressing rooms and decorative bar elements.

How it was brought to life:

Working closely with the talented team at IMG on the full design of MBFW, the SRC project team worked through each of the requirements of the Gallery spaces, plus front and back-of-house. By systematically working through each space’s use, SRC could provide innovative ideas and solutions for the set and environment.

The team built and painted seating platforms and handrails that ensured the audience would have a good view of the fashion show. They used six-metre molten flats to create a stylish border for one of the Galleries. Black drapes were used to create dressing rooms for the models and stylists, and an outdoor external wall was built to enclose the bar.
